Monday, December 9, 2013

Almost everyone must be familiar with 'UTI' or Urinary Tract Infection especially for them that have the past experience with this kind of health problem. What is UTI actually? what is the definition or full explanation of UTI?

What is UTI according to the Top Medical Site

the image of uti symptoms

Based on my information that i get from do reading on a top medical site, UTI or the Urinary Tract Infection (known as acute cystitis or bladder infection) is an infection that affect in the part of the urinary tract. According to en.wikipedia.org, when UTI affects the lower urinary tract it is known as a simple cystitis (a bladder infection) and when it affects the upper urinary tract it is known as pyelonephritis (a kidney infection). They also state that "Symptoms from a lower urinary tract include painful urination and either frequent urination or urge to urinate (or both), while those of pyelonephritis include fever and flank pain in addition to the symptoms of a lower UTI. In the elderly and the very young, symptoms may be vague or non specific. The main causal agent of both types is Escherichia coli, however other bacteria, viruses or fungi may rarely be the cause".

Another site which is known as medicalnewstoday.com, also explain that "UTI, is usually a bacterial infection that affects the urinary system. The urinary system produces, stores and eliminates urine and consists of two kidneys, two ureters, the bladder, the urethra and two sphincter muscles". Their explanation on what is UTI similar with en.wikipedia.org which is quiet short and simple.

An easy to understand and simple explanation on what is UTI are the information that i get from webmd.com. They said that our urinary tract is the system that makes urine and carries it out of our body. It includes our bladder and kidneys camera and the tubes that connect them. When germs get into this system, they can cause an infection. They also highlight that commonly urinary tract infections are bladder infections. A bladder infection usually is not serious if it is treated right away. If we do not take care of a bladder infection, it can spread to your kidneys. A kidney infection is serious and can cause permanent damage. So, I would like to conclude here that we should aware of this condition and never ever get our self into bad condition by take easy on bladder infection.

Overall, although the Urinary Tract Infection or UTI is look like not too dangerous, we should be careful and aware on our health condition. Don't let them attack our precious kidney. Hope that the above explanation regarding on what is UTI is clear.
