Other causes of UTI infection is depends on our daily hygiene practice. Most of the microorganism that cause of urinary infection exist in anus area. Bacteria can spread to the urethra via the anus actually. If toilet paper touches our anus and then our genitals area after finish 'poo', the microorganism now can then multiply and move through our urinary tract system and finally causing UTI.

Frequently sexual activity also has been said as a major causes of bladder infection (75% to 90%) especially for young women. Using the spermicide and independent of sexual frequency may also increase the UTI risk.

Urinary catheterization also may increasing the urinary tract infections risk. It is advisable to apply catheterizing only when necessary so that the risk will be decrease. Always using aseptic technique for insertion, and maintaining unobstructed closed drainage of the catheter.

Other risk or uti causes are diabetes, being uncircumcised and having a large prostate. A predisposition for bladder infection also may run in families.

As a conclusion, i would like to stress here that majority causes of a urinary tract infection is bacteria infection and sexual activities (especially in woman).
